It’s that time again when most are singing…’New Year, New Me.’ Blah! Blah! Blah! It’s not to say that I don’t support (or believe) all who strive to improve their life, but the saying comes around each year at this time.
The expression sounds great until it is time to put in the work. Recently, my son asked, “What is your resolution?” My response, “I do not have a resolution because I work on goals all year round.” You cannot wait until the beginning of the year to work on your goals. If you want to see success you must put in the work… all year round or until it comes into fruition. Let me say that again, you must put in the work!
Ways to put in the work:
- Write down a feasible goal.
- Write down the target date in your calendar.
- Document your progress in a daily journal.
- Stay positive and realistic about your success.
- DO NOT GIVE UP.
- Stop making excuses…no one wants to hear it.
