I like that bumper sticker!! A dual savings is a great way to build for an emergency while saving for a treat. You feel as if you’re not depriving yourself.

Yes. I remember giving a gift to someone to only hear complaints. I wanted to take it back, but I gave the gift out of genuine expression.

You are right about demonstrating appreciation. If you aren’t willing to show appreciation for the smaller things in life no one will ever give you another gift…no matter how “deserving”.

The stroy about the lottery winner chills me – I always thought if I won (well, I don’t play so that is a problem) I wouldn’t tell anyone. I would just suddenly have an out of town job and my family would get periodic anonymous gifts.

Great post – I like doing the dual savings – one for an emergency fund and one for a treat.

Seeing the Hummer I want to give it a bumper sticker “I am changing the envionment – ask me how!”.
