If you are contemplating a perfect time to create your back-to-school shopping list and patronize stores then you are in luck. August marks the beginning of a tax-free weekend. Shoppers get a break from state and local sales taxes.

This is an opportune time for parents on a budget to shop for items without going further into debt.

As a parent, you want to plan ahead and take advantage of the tax-free savings whenever possible. Make an actual list of what you need to purchase. Be sure to add a few extra items that you will need throughout the year for your children’s supplies.
