Lauryn Hill faces tax charges

Lauryn will be singing, “The Sweetest thing I’ve ever known…”, about her freedom if she doesn’t pay up.  L-Boogie is known for her skills in the former group The Fugees and starting her solo career in 1998 when she released the acclaimed album, “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”.

She is facing federal charges for not filing and paying taxes during 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Over the three years, Lauren earned $1.6 million from royalties of songs and films. Federal prosecutors have charged five time Grammy winner with willfully not filing taxes.

If found guilty, Lauryn faces up to one year for each count and 300,000 in fines.
